‘Intimacy’ clothes will turn transparent when you become sexually aroused

It’s getting hot in here (so hot)…and you don’t even have to take your clothes off.

Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde has created a new line of clothing called Intimacy, made from leather and smart opaque e-foils, as well as electronics, LEDs, copper and other media.

According to Roosegaarde:

INTIMACY 2.0 features Studio Roosegaardeʼs new, wearable dresses composed of leather and smart e-foils which are daringly perfect to wear on the red carpet. In response to the heartbeat of each person, INTIMACY 2.0 becomes more or less transparent.

Daan calls his style of fashion “techno-poetry,” and says “technology is used here not merely functionally but also as a tool to create intimacy as well as privacy on a direct, personal level which in our contemporary tech society is becoming increasingly important.”

The most useful application of this material will certainly be as a replacement for college Saran wrap parties, allowing students to both celebrate their bodies, and then return to their dorms without embarrassing the check-in guy.

When would you wear it?
